the founder's note

a house of five,
running on no sleep.

Why I actually built this, told straight, business, faith, and a family that doesn't stop for either.

I run a business. I have a wife and three kids. Most days start before anyone asks me to start them, and end with a list that didn't get shorter. If you've got a full house and a full inbox, you know the feeling I'm describing: some days everything clicks, the kids get along, the hard conversation goes well, the numbers make sense. Other days the exact same plan falls apart before nine a.m., and you can't point to why.

For years, my mother-in-law told me to check my biorhythms every time I complained about a rough week. I filed it straight under horoscopes and crystals, weird hippy stuff, not for me. She never let it drop, though, and eventually I got curious enough to actually look instead of rolling my eyes one more time.

So I started tracking it properly. Not out of conviction, just wanting to know one thing: was "today's just a bad day" actually true, or was there a pattern underneath it I'd never bothered to look for.

It didn't make the hard days disappear. What it did was give me a reason for them, and that turned out to matter more than I expected.

Knowing one of my kids is on a rough cycle changes how I read a meltdown, less like defiance, more like a battery that's actually empty. Knowing my own numbers before a big decision at work changes whether I trust my gut that day or double-check it. Knowing where my wife and I both stand on the same afternoon has saved more than one conversation from happening on the wrong day for either of us.

None of that is magic. It's just information I didn't have before, about why we are how we are on a given day, business, family, and everything in between.

where faith fits in

I should say plainly what RhythmBio is not: it's not a Christian app, and it doesn't ask you to believe anything to use it. The math is the math regardless of what either of us believes.

But you asked why I actually believe in this, so here it is. I'm a Christian, and I think design shows up everywhere, in the seasons, in the tides, in a body that heals and grows in cycles rather than straight lines. That conviction is mine, not the app's, and it's the reason I found a wave running through my own birthday plausible enough to actually test rather than dismiss.

You don't need to share it. Don't take my word for it, or my faith's word for it, log your own week and see what holds up.

why a family app, specifically

Family Hub exists because the pattern was never really about me alone. A household is several people's cycles overlapping, and most of the friction I noticed wasn't any one person having a bad day, it was two people having opposite days at the same time. Once you can see that on one screen, you plan around it instead of getting blindsided by it.

That's the whole pitch, really. Not a promise, just a pattern worth looking at, from someone who looks at it every single day, in the middle of the same busy, ordinary, occasionally chaotic life you're probably running too.
